When I signed up for this challenge I was already working out on a regular basis and attending Alpha Strong. The biggest problem was that I was failing at everything else when it when it came to being healthy. I wasn’t eating healthy, sleeping enough, and letting the stresses of life control me vs me controlling them. After competing previous 60 day challenges I knew I had to make this one different. Stephanie, my Alpha Strong Coach, was instrumental in making this happen. When the 5:30am workouts were wearing me out, she was always there to motivate me. She stayed on top of my weigh-ins and diet to ensure I was getting back what I put in. I saw gains in every aspect with her assistance. Changing my diet was one of the biggest parts, and she made sure I was doing it the right way. I have to give a big thanks to my wife and kids as well. Allowing me the time to exercise was instrumental. My wife and I both work full time and have two young boys that are in after school activities 4-5 days a week. To make my days even longer, I coach my son’s soccer team, I am the Vice President for my Church’s Parish Council and the President of my Neighborhood HOA. Needless to say, I don’t make it easy for myself or my family with how busy I am. My goals in this 60 day were to get under 10% body fat, improve my fitness and overall wellbeing. I also wanted to maintain this level of fitness and self-awareness after the challenge. While that will remain to be seen, I fell more confident and passionate about my health today than I have in years.
